Abstract

Una lata surtidora de aérosol de baja presión que se distingue de las latas surtidoras de aérosol de alta presión, existentes. La lata es generalmente cilíndrica y tiene un espesor de pared delgado, como aquel de las latas de bebidas carbonatadas, que puede distorsionarse por la presión de los dedos, pero cuya forma se mantiene pro la presión interna de gas. La válvula puede incluir una derivación de vapor de perforación angosta entre el espacio de cabeza del propelente gaseoso en la lata y la cámara de válvula para suministrar gas adicional para el atomizado de líquido e impulsar éste desde la boquilla. La presión del gas en la lata se coordina con el grosor de la pared y del fondo de la lata, de manera que la lata tendrá una resistencia suficiente a la distorsión y una resistencia a la explosión a temperaturas elevadas. La lata tiene además paredes laterales de un grosor suficientemente bajo para permitir que ésta pueda aplastarse fácilmente mediante presión manual cuando esta vacía.
