Abstract

Se describen en la presente invención sistemas y métodos para aislar ópticamente los componentes de un sensor óptico en dispositivos de monitorización fisiológica usados por un usuario para detectar, medir y/o mostrar información fisiológica. Un sensor óptico puede montarse en la cara posterior del dispositivo, emitir luz próxima a un área objetivo del cuerpo de un usuario y detectar la luz reflejada desde el área objetivo. La estructura de aislamiento óptico puede situarse al menos parcialmente entre uno o más componentes del sensor óptico para asegurar que la luz detectada por el sensor es luz reflejada desde el área objetivo en lugar de la luz emitida directamente desde una fuente de luz y/o luz ambiente. La estructura de aislamiento óptico puede extenderse en algunos casos entre una superficie de contacto del dispositivo de monitorización a una porción base de los componentes de sensor o una superficie de una placa de circuito a la que están montados los componentes sensores.
