Abstract
Una formulación de aceite base de lubricante automotriz contiene un aceite base, preferiblemente un aceite base de hidrocarburo, que tiene una viscosidad cinemática de 100 centiStokes o menos a 40 grados Celsius y un polímero soluble en aceite con terminación alquilo donde el polímero soluble en aceite con terminación alquilo tiene la estructura de Fórmula (I): donde R1 es un alquilo que tiene de uno a treinta átomos de carbono, R2 y R3 se seleccionan independientemente de grupos alquilo que tienen tres o cuatro átomos de carbono y pueden estar en forma de bloques o combinados aleatoriamente, R4 es un alquilo que tiene de uno a 18 átomos de carbono, n y m son independientemente números que varian de cero a 20, siempre que n+m sea mayor que cero y p es un número dentro de un intervalo de uno a tres y una viscosidad cinemática de 100 centiStokes o menos a 40 grados Celsius, es útil en un lubricante para dispositivos mecánicos.
