Abstract
Se describen métodos, materiales y dispositivos para aproximación de volumen sanguíneo en un fluido, tal como en un fluido biológico recolectado durante un procedimiento quirúrgico. El método y dispositivo incluyen en el uso de un floculante de RBC, tal como poliDADMAC, y un hematocrito de sangre aproximado para el tipo de animal, así como una relación de compactación de RBC calculada que corresponde al dispositivo de recolección que se utiliza. También se proporciona un panel indicador de sangre (BIP), que comprende una serie de marcas calculadas de un volumen de asentamiento de glóbulos rojos observado, el hematocrito de tipo de animal promedio, y un valor de relación de compactación de RBC calculado "?" para el dispositivo de recolección. También se describen recipientes pediátricos (recipiente de tamaño de aproximadamente 200 ml o 250 ml), para adultos humanos (aproximadamente 1000 ml - 1500 ml) y veterinarios (aproximadamente 500 ml - 2500 ml), que incluyen un floculante de RBC, para uso en aproximación de volumen sanguíneo en un fluido.
