Abstract

Un conjunto de lentes de contacto (200) para su uso en la prevención o en la ralentización del desarrollo o de la progresión de la miopía, los métodos para la fabricación y uso de dichos lentes. Cada lente (201a, 201b) incluye una zona óptica (202a, 202b) y una zona periférica circundante (204a, 204b) que tiene un perfil variable del grosor que está configurado con el fin de controlar la rotación de los lentes (201a, 201b). La zona óptica (202a, 202b) contiene una región central (205a, 205b) teniendo una curvatura proporcionando una potencia base. Una región anular (203a, 203b) circunferencialmente rodea a la región central (205a, 205b) y contiene una zona de tratamiento (207a, 207b) con una característica que reduce el contraste de una imagen que es formada por medio de la luz pasando a través de la región central (205a, 205b) y de la zona de tratamiento (207a, 207b) en comparación con una imagen de un objeto que sería formada mediante la luz pasando únicamente a través de la región central (205a, 205b).
