Abstract

Se divulga un polímero de agente espesante asociativo modificado de manera hidrófoba preparado a partir de una mezcla de reacción que comprende a) un politetrahidrofurano que tiene la fórmula (I): (Ver Fórmula I). b) al menos un compuesto que contiene hidrógeno activo; c) un polihaluro de gema con un hidróxido alcalino; o d) un poliglicidil éter con un hidróxido alcalino; e) opcionalmente, un compuesto que contiene hidrófobo, en donde m es un número entero en un intervalo de 2 a 750; también se divulgan las composiciones acuosas de recubrimiento protector; además se divulga un proceso para preparar un polímero de agente espesante asociativo modificado de manera hidrófoba.
