Abstract

Se proporcionan técnicas para omitir o suspender el monitoreo de PDCCH para reducir el consumo de energía en un dispositivo inalámbrico y prolongar la vida útil de la batería. Para implementar la omisión de PDCCH, el nodo de acceso envía un comando al dispositivo inalámbrico para suspender el monitoreo de PDCCH durante un período de tiempo específico luego de un período de retraso. La solicitud para suspender el monitoreo de PDCCH, denominada en el presente documento indicación de monitoreo de PDCCH, se envía en DCI. En algunas modalidades, la duración del período de retraso y/o el intervalo de suspensión pueden configurarse previamente. En otras modalidades, la duración del período de retraso y/o el intervalo de suspensión se indica mediante la DCI transmitida al dispositivo inalámbrico. En respuesta a la indicación de monitoreo de PDCCH, el dispositivo inalámbrico suspende el monitoreo de PDCCH por un período que abarca una o más ocasiones de monitoreo de PDCCH después del final del período de retraso y permanece en modo de suspensión o modo de bajo consumo para conservar la energía de la batería y aumentar la vida útil de la batería. El nodo de acceso suspende la transmisión de DCI al dispositivo inalámbrico durante el intervalo de suspensión.
