Abstract
Se proporciona un acero para nitrocarburizar con excelente resistencia a la fatiga superficial. El acero tiene una capa de compuesto de nitruro con un grosor de 5.0µm a 30.0µm y una capa endurecida en un orden desde una superficie del acero hasta el interior del acero, en donde el grosor de una capa porosa en la superficie exterior de la capa de compuesto es 3.0µm o menos y 40.0% o menos de un grosor de la capa de compuesto, la capa endurecida tiene una dureza de HV600 o más, HV400 o más y HV250 o más a 50 µm hacia adentro desde la superficie del acero, desde la superficie del acero hacia el interior del acero de 400 µm, y desde la superficie del acero hacia el interior del acero de 600µm, respectivamente, y una porción sin endurecer excluyendo las capas compuestas y endurecidas tiene una composición química predeterminada, y la capa endurecida tiene una composición química con un contenido de N más alto que la porción sin endurecer.
