Abstract

Carpet tile which comprises a base layer having a top side and a bottom side, wherein preferably pile yarns are provided on the top side of the base layer, and a backing layer fixedly connected to the bottom side of the base layer, which backing layer constitutes a bottom surface of the carpet tile, wherein on the bottom surface of the carpet tile an adhesive is applied, and wherein the adhesive imparts adhesive properties to the bottom surface which are sufficient to allow the bottom surface to be attached to a suitable support surface, as well as to be detached from the same support surface onto which it has been attached previously.
