Abstract

Se proporciona un aparato de asiento para facilitar el movimiento de un usuario desde una posición sentada hasta una posición de pie. El aparato de asiento incluye un cuerpo principal que tiene una superficie inferior, una pared posterior y un par de paredes laterales que se conectan entre sí y definen una región rebajada que se configura para sentarse. El cuerpo principal incluye además una proyección del asiento que se extiende hacia arriba desde la superficie inferior, entre las paredes laterales, de manera que la proyección del asiento se conforma y adapta para mantener los muslos de un usuario separados a cada lado del mismo. El aparato de asiento comprende además una base que se proporciona más abajo del cuerpo principal y se adapta para cooperar con el mismo. Al menos uno de la base y el cuerpo principal tiene un perfil de sección transversal convexo y curvo que se adapta para permitir que el aparato pivote alrededor de al menos un eje para inclinar el cuerpo principal hacia adelante e instar a un usuario en la posición de pie.
