Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso, un sistema y un aparato para la separación de un compuesto oxigenado de una corriente. Más específicamente, una corriente que comprende el compuesto oxigenado se introduce en una torre de enfriamiento junto con una corriente de salida cáustica que comprende una sal metálica. El contacto entre el compuesto oxigenado y la sal metálica da como resultado la conversión de una parte del compuesto oxigenado en una sal derivada. La sal derivada y el material compuesto oxigenado no convertido se condensan mediante enfriamiento y se eliminan sustancialmente de la torre de enfriamiento como una corriente de salida de compuesto oxigenado. Los componentes gaseosos de la corriente, menos una porción sustancial del compuesto oxigenado, se eliminan de la torre de enfriamiento como una corriente de salida de enfriamiento.
