Abstract
Un aparato de calentamiento de combustible comprende un quemador y una primera carcasa adyacente al quemador de modo que un interior de la primera carcasa recibe gases de combustión de la combustión en el quemador. Un intercambiador de calor define una segunda carcasa con una entrada próxima a una salida de la primera carcasa, de modo que la entrada de la segunda carcasa recibe gases de combustión de la salida de la primera carcasa, y en donde la primera y la segunda carcasas se unen en una interfaz. Una barrera se extiende dentro y a través de una interfaz entre la salida de la primera carcasa y la entrada de la segunda carcasa y define una resistencia térmica que inhibe la transferencia de calor de los gases de combustión a la interfaz.
