Abstract

Un método para producir un artículo óptico incluye aplicar una composición de imbibición que tiene al menos un tinte sobre al menos una porción de al menos una superficie embebible (45) de un sustrato (20) para formar un sustrato recubierto (10). El método incluye además irradiar al menos una porción del sustrato recubierto con calor proveniente de una fuente de calor (80) para formar una gradiente de calor a través del sustrato recubierto (10) para difundir el por lo menos un tinte en la superficie embebible para formar un sustrato al menos parcialmente embebido que tenga un gradiente de concentración de tinte que corresponda al gradiente de calor. El método incluye además eliminar un componente residual de la composición de imbibición del sustrato al menos parcialmente embebido. El gradiente de concentración de tinte forma un patrón de gradiente después de la exposición a la radiación actínica.
