Abstract
Un sistema y método para controlar un proceso de fundición de metal en un horno de fundición, que incluye determinar al menos un parámetro del horno que caracterice un horno de fundición; agregar una carga que contenga metal sólido en el horno de fundición, detectar al menos un parámetro de la carga que caracterice la carga, encender un quemador dentro del horno de fundición para proporcionar calor para fundir la carga y drenar los productos de combustión del quemador provenientes del horno, detectar al menos un parámetro del proceso que caracterice el progreso de fundición de la carga, calcular una eficiencia del horno en base a el al menos un parámetro del horno, calcular un tiempo previsto de disponibilidad de vertido del proceso en base a el al menos un parámetro de la carga, el al menos un parámetro del proceso y la eficiencia del horno y controlar el proceso de fundición de metal en base al tiempo previsto de disponibilidad de vertido del proceso.
