Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos, sistemas y medios legibles por máquina para la identificación autónoma de artículos en un entorno que incluye un dispositivo computacional móvil y un contenedor. Uno o más sensores se disponen en el contenedor para detectar un artículo seleccionado que se coloca en el contenedor. En respuesta a la detección del artículo seleccionado que se coloca en el contenedor, la ubicación del contenedor se determina al utilizar un sistema de posicionamiento. Una o más características físicas del artículo seleccionado se detectan mediante uno o más sensores en el contenedor. Un conjunto de características almacenadas se recupera de una base de datos para los artículos disponibles próximos a la ubicación del contenedor. Se identifica un código de identificación para el artículo seleccionado basándose en una comparación de una o más características físicas del artículo seleccionado con las características almacenadas recuperadas de la base de datos de los artículos disponibles de acuerdo con la ubicación del contenedor.
