Abstract

Se pretende proporcionar un compuesto novedoso de ácido bisfosfónico o una sal del mismo que muestre un efecto inhibidor notable en la calcificación ectópica, y una composición farmacéutica que comprenda el mismo; la presente invención proporciona un compuesto de ácido bisfosfónico representado por la siguiente fórmula (1) o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo: (ver formula) en donde ------ representa un enlace sencillo o un doble enlace; A representa un hidrocarburo cíclico saturado o un anillo heterocíclico saturado que comprende un átomo de azufre o un átomo de oxígeno; y R1 y R2 cada uno independientemente representa un grupo alquilo, un grupo alquenilo, un grupo alquinilo, un grupo alcoxi, un grupo ariloxi, un grupo haloalcoxi, un grupo haloalquilo, un átomo de halógeno o un átomo de hidrógeno.
