Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método para la separación de sustancias gaseosas o en partículas de un flujo de gas, por ejemplo, un flujo de gas de escape por medio de un reactor de flujo de lecho fluidizado. Un lecho de soporte que consiste de una fracción de partículas grandes está presente en el lecho fluidizado. Para mantener su tamaño constante, una fracción de partículas grandes, que deja el lecho fluidizado con el flujo volumétrico, se separa del flujo volumétrico mediante un separador y se recircula al lecho fluidizado, de modo que se mantenga el tamaño de la capa de soporte. La tasa de retorno de la fracción de partículas grandes, se reduce al grado que la adición de sorbentes al lecho fluidizado se incrementa para reducir la concentración de contaminantes residuales. La fracción de partículas grandes separada, la cual no se recircula, se retira del proceso. Este procedimiento también hace posible suministrar gases de escape al lecho fluidizado, los cuales se cargan con sólidos que pertenecen a una fracción de partículas grandes, sin la necesidad de un pre-separador. Estos pasan a través del lecho fluidizado y después se retiran del proceso.
