Abstract

Un método de fabricación de un primer documento de seguridad, incluyendo el documento de seguridad un primer arreglo periódico de elementos de imagen aplicado a una primera superficie de un sustrato transparente y que se extiende en una primera dirección; y un primer arreglo periódico de elementos reveladores aplicado a una superficie opuesta del sustrato y que se extiende en una segunda dirección, estando el primer arreglo periódico de elementos reveladores superpuesto con el primer arreglo periódico de elementos de imagen de manera que puede observarse un efecto variable óptico entre al menos un primer ángulo de visualización y un segundo ángulo de visualización. El método incluye los pasos de (a) determinar una o más características de bandas de moiré que se observarían o se observan al pasar por el primer arreglo periódico de elementos de imagen durante el movimiento del documento de seguridad con respecto a un observador entre, al menos, el primer ángulo de visualización y el segundo ángulo de visualización como resultado de la primera dirección siendo diferente a la segunda dirección; (b) restringir al menos una dimensión del primer arreglo periódico de elementos de imagen y/o el primer arreglo periódico de elementos reveladores para que sean más pequeños que el ancho de al menos una de las bandas de moiré; y (c) hacer que el primer arreglo periódico de elementos de imagen y el primer arreglo periódico de elementos reveladores, restringidos como se establece en el paso (b), se fabriquen como parte del documento de seguridad.
