Abstract
Se describen métodos y materiales para la modificación genética de plantas mediante el direccionamiento génico específico y edición precisa de secuencias de ácidos nucleicos en una planta; los métodos y materiales provistos en la presente permiten a uno editar el genoma de planta por diseño para controlar la expresión de genes endógenos y/o controlar la transmisión y expresión de rasgos transgénicos; también se proveen métodos para producir plantas que tienen un rasgo agronómico aconsejable al cruzar una planta transgénica que expresa un ARNg con una planta que expresa una enzima Cas, y seleccionar una planta de progenie que tiene el rasgo agronómico aconsejable o una semilla de la misma.
