Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones y métodos para modificar una secuencia de nucleótidos en el genoma de una célula vegetal, sin el uso de un marcador seleccionable. Los métodos y las composiciones emplean un sistema de polinucleótido guía/endonucleasa Cas con el fin de realizar una rotura bicatenaria en un sitio diana localizado en una secuencia de nucleótidos y se obtienen células vegetales sin el uso de un marcador seleccionable y con el fin de proporcionar un sistema eficaz para modificar sitios diana dentro del genoma de una planta, célula vegetal o semilla. También se proporcionan composiciones y métodos para producir una célula vegetal, tejido calloso o planta que tenga una secuencia de nucleótidos modificada en su genoma, sin el uso de un marcador seleccionable.
