Abstract
La invención proporciona un reactor que comprende una cámara de reacción que tiene una superficie catalítica en contacto con los reactivos en la cámara; y una fuente para pasar corriente eléctrica a través de la superficie catalítica. El reactor puede utilizarse para reacciones de deshidrogenación, tales como deshidrocloración de HCFC-244bb para HFO-1234yf, y para reacciones donde se emplean metales de valencia cero para la catálisis. La invención además proporciona un proceso para preparar HFO-1234yf a partir de HCFC-244bb utilizando una cámara de reacción calentada eléctricamente.
