Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un cartucho para un sistema generador de aerosol, el cartucho comprende un sensor (34A, B) que comprende un capacitor con una primera placa del capacitor (34A) y una segunda placa del capacitor (34B), una porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B) para contener un sustrato líquido formador de aerosol y un vaporizador, en donde la porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B) se dispone entre la primera placa del capacitor (34A) y la segunda placa del capacitor (34B), en donde la permitividad de la porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B) cambia después de un cambio del volumen del sustrato líquido formador de aerosol contenido en la porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B), en donde el sensor se configura para medir la capacitancia del capacitor, y en donde la capacitancia medida se relaciona con una permitividad correspondiente del sustrato líquido formador de aerosol contenido en la porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B) de manera que la cantidad del volumen del sustrato líquido formador de aerosol contenido en la porción de almacenamiento de líquido se determina a partir de la capacitancia medida. La presente invención se refiere además a un sistema generador de aerosol que comprende el cartucho. La presente invención se refiere además a un método para medir una capacitancia a partir de la cual el volumen de un sustrato líquido formador de aerosol contenido en una porción de almacenamiento de líquido (38A, B) es determinable.
