Abstract

Se describe un método para mejorar la cinética y recuperación de lixiviación de metal durante la lixiviación atmosférica o sustancialmente atmosférica de un sulfuro metálico. En algunas modalidades, el método puede comprender el paso de procesar un concentrado de sulfuro metálico en un circuito de activación reductiva 220 que opera en un primer potencial redox, para producir un concentrado de sulfuro metálico activado reductivamente. El método además puede comprender el paso de procesar posteriormente el concentrado de sulfuro metálico activado en un circuito de lixiviación oxidativa 240 para extraer metales de valor. En algunas modalidades descritas, los pasos de activación reductora y/o disolución oxidativa pueden emplear un procesamiento mecano-químico y/o físico-químico de las partículas o aglomerados de las mismas. La activación reductiva se puede realizar previo a las operaciones de lixiviación de pilas o bio-lixiviación para mejorar la extracción de metal. También se describen los sistemas para prácticar los métodos antes mencionados.
