Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona con un proceso de lixiviacion de sulfuros secundarios y primarios de cobre en medio cloruroferroso con bacterias hierroxidantes adaptadas del chancado del mineral proveniente de la mina, que comprende los pasos de: Mezclar el mineral proveniente del chancado con acido sulfurico concentrado; Transportar el material mezclado con acido sulfurico es transportado mediante una correa; Adicionar una solucion liquida lixiviante en un punto intermedio del transporte de la correa, donde dicha solucion esta compuesta por: Sulfato Ferroso, para disminuir el potencial redox de la mezcla solucion-mineral a valores menores de 550 mV Ag/AgC; Sulfato Ferrico; Bacterias y arqueas del tipo Mesofilas y Termofilas perteneciente al genero acidithiobacillus, Lestospirillum y sulfulobos, adaptados previamente en una planta anexa de birreactores; Cloruro de Sodio para generar el ambiente clorurado en soluciones. Luego viene el paso de apilar el material en canchas de apilamiento par su estado de reposo durante un tiempo determinado de acuerdo a la composicion mineralogica del mineral o condiciones operacionales de la planta; Inyectar aire calentado por sistema de intercambiados liquido/aire en la etapa de reposo a traves de sopladores por la parte inferior de la pila; y lixiviar el material apilado mediante un flujo de soluciones de bajo contenido acido sulfurico, con ion ferrico, que contribuyen a realizar la segunda etapa de solubilizacion de los sulfuros de cobre.
