Abstract

La presente descripcion se refiere a un nuevo material particulado carbonoso de superficie modificada que tiene un recubrimiento de carbono no grafitico hidrofilico. El material puede por ejemplo ser producido por recubrimiento CVD de un material particulado carbonoso tal como grafito seguido por un tratamiento oxidativo en condiciones definidas. El material resultante presenta una superficie mas hidrofilica en comparacion con un material carbonoso recubierto con CVD sin modificar, lo cual es deseable en muchas aplicaciones, tal como cuando se usa como un material activo en el electrodo negativo de baterias de iones de litio o en un material compuesto polimerico.
