Abstract

Se describe un proceso novedoso de destilación de dos pasos para recuperar ácido láctico y lactato de etilo a partir de colas de destilación. En comparación con procesos de destilación convencionales, este proceso implica una reacción y una segunda destilación que convierte el monómero de ácido láctico y otras especies del ácido láctico que permanecen en las colas de destilación después de un primer paso de destilación convencional en lactato de etilo mediante la esterificación y transesterificación simultaneas de todas las especies del ácido láctico presentes en las colas de destilación.
