Abstract
Se describe un sistema para asistir a un cirujano en la colocación de al menos un dispositivo de ablación en una región de tratamiento de un paciente, donde el sistema incluye al menos un sistema informático con una pantalla, una interfaz de usuario y software. El sistema utiliza datos de imágenes de la región de tratamiento del paciente para generar una imagen de la región de tratamiento en la pantalla e identifica la región de tratamiento que se debe extirpar con un objetivo. Las propiedades de tejido de la región de tratamiento se identifican y utilizan para realizar el modelo térmico. Se generan parámetros de tratamiento y se calcula una zona de ablación. Se genera una visualización en el sistema informático que muestra (a) la cantidad de dispositivos de ablación necesarios para extirpar la región de tratamiento y la ubicación y orientación de cada dispositivo de ablación en la región de tratamiento y (b) la zona de ablación.
