Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir drimenol y/o derivados de drimenol mediante la puesta en contacto de al menos un polipéptido con farnesil-difosfato. El método se puede realizar in vitro o in vivo. La presente invención también proporciona secuencias de aminoácidos de polipéptidos útiles en el método de la invención y ácido nucleico que codifica para los polipéptidos de la invención. El método proporciona además organismos o células hospedadoras genéticamente modificadas para expresar los polipéptidos de la invención útiles para producir trimenol y/o derivados de drimenol.
