Abstract

Se proporciona un material carbonáceo en partículas que se caracteriza por tener una expansión/contracción volumétrica reversible en medios de fluido (``VR´´) más grande que o igual a (=) 3% entre los 4,000 psi y los 10,000 psi. El material carbonáceo en partículas, poroso, de la divulgación presente además están caracterizado por que tienen una densidad real (``PT´´), de 1.2 g/cc = PT = 2.0 g/cc, cuando se muele a -200 de malla y tiene una distribución de tamaño de partícula d50 de alrededor de 15 µm. Esto es la consecuencia de que el material presente exhiba un nivel elevado de porosidad cerrada con poros muy pequeños, en contraste con los materiales de la técnica anterior que deberán tener un rango de tamaños de poro más amplio para los poros cerrados.
