Abstract
Se proporcionan métodos y composiciones para identificar plantas de maíz que tienen tolerancia recién conferida o tolerancia mejorada o son susceptibles a la mancha gris de la hoja (GLS). Los métodos usan marcadores genéticos moleculares para identificar, seleccionar y/o construir plantas tolerantes o para identificar y contraseleccionar plantas susceptibles. Las plantas de maíz que presentan tolerancia recién conferida o tolerancia mejorada a GLS se generan por métodos que, además, son una característica de la invención.
