Abstract
Un sistema intercambiador de calor ramificado simétrico concéntrico (10) incluye un distribuidor de entrada (11) que divide el flujo de producto uniformemente en la primera sección del sistema e incluye, además, un arreglo (13) de intercambiadores de calor concéntricos tubulares (14) dispuestos en paralelo y en serie. El flujo a través del sistema puede dividirse aún más con distribuidores secundarios (12). La división del flujo de producto permite un intercambio del calor eficiente a índices de flujo de producto mayores y eficientes y a presiones de entrada menores del intercambiador de calor. Contar con presiones de entrada menores reduce los costos de construcción del intercambiador de calor y permite la unión de dispositivos de corte o moldeado a la salida del intercambiador para crear piezas moldeadas de manera única. Los dispositivos de corte o de moldeado pueden instalarse en el extremo del intercambiador de calor ramificado para proporcionar un enfriamiento y corte en una etapa del proceso al mismo tiempo que eliminan la etapa de manipular el material para transportar el producto hacia y desde un congelador de aire forzado o un dispositivo de enfriamiento similar.
