Abstract

Se ha observado que las soluciones formadas al combinar poli (a(1?3) glucano) con solución acuosa concentrada de ácido fórmico, que contiene, opcionalmente, cloruro de metileno, producen la forma formilada del poli (a(1?3) glucano). Se ha demostrado que las soluciones formadas así son útiles para el hilado de solución en fibra de poli (a(1?3) glucano) cuando la fibra hilada se coagula en un baño de coagulación. Las fibras producidas así muestran propiedades físicas deseables. El poli (a(1?3) glucano) usado se sintetizó por acción de una enzima recombinante preparada por medio de fermentación.
