Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para detectar automáticamente un estado de embarazo de un paciente que incluye un parche para adherirse a la piel humana, un sensor de contracción uterina, tal como electromigrafía (EMG), acoplado al parche con al menos dos electrodos, y un sensor inercial para detectar el movimiento fetal, o sensor de frecuencia cardiaca fetal (FHR), tal como EKG fetal o ultrasonido Doppler. Un circuito electrónico se acopla al parche, al sensor de EMG y al sensor inercial, y/o sensor de FHR. El circuito proporciona una salida con base en una señal de contracción uterina del sensor EMG ( o ultrasonido Doppler) correlacionada con un movimiento fetal, y/o frecuencia cardiaca fetal. El aparato puede incluir un termómetro para ayudar a proporcionar automáticamente una indicación de un estado de ovulación o complicación del embarazo del paciente, con base en la salida.
