Abstract
Se proporcionan compuestos de óxidos metálicos mixtos que comprenden: un compuesto de ceria-circonia-alúmina, en donde la alúmina está presente en una cantidad en el rango de 1 a menos de 30% en peso del compuesto y el compuesto de óxido metálico mixto tiene una reductibilidad de ceria de al menos 50% después de 12 horas de degradación hidrotermal a °C. En la preparación de los mismos, una solución sólida de ceria-circonia puede comprender opcionalmente además al menos óxido de tierras raras aparte de ceria y la alúmina puede formarse utilizando un precursor de alúmina coloidal. También se proporcionan métodos para hacer y utilizar estos compuestos.
