Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método que proporciona la imagen de ultrasonido de tres dimensiones de un volumen (50) y un sistema de formación de imagen de ultrasonido (10). En particular, la presente invención se aplica a la formación de imagen de tres dimensiones en directo. Para mantener una velocidad continua de cuadro de las imágenes visualizadas incluso si el usuario cambia la región de interés y con lo cual, el tamaño del volumen (50) que será escaneo, es contemplado el ajuste de la densidad de las líneas de escaneo dentro del volumen (50) como una función del tamaño del volumen mientras se mantiene el número total de líneas de escaneo a través del volumen (50).
