Abstract
Un implante para expandir un conducto raquídeo que tiene una porción superior, una porción inferior, y un miembro interno. El miembro interno se comunica con una articulación giratoria ubicada en cada extremo del miembro interno dentro del implante. Cada articulación giratoria además interactúa con una de las respectivas porciones superior e inferior, dentro de un orificio interno de ellas. En conformidad, el movimiento del miembro interno con respecto a una o a ambas de las porciones superior e inferior, a través de una o de ambas articulaciones giratorias, traslada y aleja la porción superior de la porción inferior, alrededor de un corte vertebral, para ampliar el corte vertebral y expandir el conducto raquídeo. La acción giratoria de las articulaciones durante la traslación permite la angulación del miembro interno, con respecto a un eje longitudinal del implante, para admitir que ocurra un desplazamiento lateral natural durante una ampliación de un corte vertebral.
