Abstract

En la presente invención se obtiene un hidrogel con nanopartículas de óxido de zinc con potenciales aplicaciones terapéuticas ya que este producto tiene una actividad antimicrobiana contra bacterias, siendo apto por lo tanto para uso en tratamiento de quemaduras y como apósito para heridas / lesiones, donando o recibiendo humedad para proporcionar un entorno fisiológico para la cicatrización más rápida de la herida y el alivio del dolor. El uso del hidrogel de la presente invención puede aplicarse en el tratamiento de heridas / lesiones, tales como, quemaduras de segundo y tercer grado, úlceras por presión, úlceras diabéticas, heridas quirúrgicas, y diversas abrasiones de la piel difíciles de tratar, en parte, debido a las posibles infecciones por microorganismos; y a la incidencia de sobreinfecciones por múltiples microorganismos resistentes a los medicamentos.
