Abstract

Un asiento de válvula de una aleación sinterizada a base de hierro que tiene alta resistencia al desgaste en un amplio intervalo de temperatura, que puede ser utilizado en motores de inyección directa con una eficiencia mejorada de combustible, baja emisión y alta potencia, se obtiene limitando la cantidad de un lubricante sólido dispersado en la matriz del asiento de válvula de una aleación sinterizada a base de hierro, y dispersando por lo menos dos tipos de partículas duras que tienen durezas diferentes en la matriz, con lo cual se proporciona alta resistencia y auto-lubricación, así como una resistencia mejorada al desgaste sin lubricación en un amplio intervalo de temperatura.
