Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones de material de revestimiento que comprenden al menos un compuesto (A) que contiene un grupo polihidroxilo, al menos un compuesto (B) que tiene grupos poliisocianato que tienen grupos isocianato libres y/o bloqueados, y al menos un catalizador (D) basado en un complejo de zinc-amidina que se puede preparar por la reacción de 1.0 moles de al menos un biscarboxilato de zinc(II) con menos de 2.0 moles de al menos una amidina (ver Fórmula) en donde R5 = hidrógeno y R1, R2, R3, y R4 son cada uno radicales idénticos o diferentes, R1 y R3 siendo hidrógeno o un radical alquilo o un radical arilo, y R2 y R4 siendo un radical alquilo o un radical arilo. La presente invención proporciona adicionalmente métodos de revestimiento de etapas múltiples que utilizan estas composiciones de material de revestimiento, y también el uso de composiciones de material de revestimiento como materiales de revestimiento transparente, y aplicaciones del método de revestimiento para nuevo acabado automotriz y/o para el revestimiento de sustratos de plástico y/o vehículos utilitarios.
