Abstract
Diversas modalidades están dirigidas a sistemas y métodos para medir un espesor de un recipiente. Por ejemplo, un dispositivo de control puede recibir los datos que indican una topología superficial del recipiente, y con base en la topología superficial del recipiente, se instruye un sistema de posicionamiento de ejes múltiples para que coloque un sensor con relación a un primer punto del recipiente tal que: una distanciad desde el sensor hacia una superficie en el primer punto es aproximadamente igual a una distancia predeterminada; y la dirección del sensor es aproximadamente normal a la superficie en el primer punto.
