Abstract

La invención da a conocer un método para monitorizar una red Bittorrent y medir velocidades de descarga. La velocidad se calcula conectándose a un cliente, obteniendo el campo de bits y mensajes "tengo", reconectándose después de un tiempo predeterminado y obteniendo un nuevo campo de bits y mensajes "tengo". Tomando el número de nuevos fragmentos entre ambas observaciones multiplicado por el tamaño de fragmento y dividido entre el tiempo entre las dos observaciones se obtiene la velocidad de descarga.
