Abstract

Se describe un método para separar acetonitrilo a partir de agua, el cual consiste en: i) disponer de una corriente Si que contenga al menos 95% en peso, con base en el peso total de S1, de acetonitrilo y agua, en donde la relación en peso de acetonitriio:agua sea mayor que 1; ii) adicionar una corriente P que contenga al menos 95% en peso de C3, con base en el peso total de la corriente P, a S1 para obtener una corriente mixta S2, siendo C3 propeno opcionalmente mezclado con propano, con una relación en peso mínima de propeno:propano de 7:3; iii) someter la corriente S2 a una temperatura de 92°C a lo sumo y una presión de al menos 10 bar, obteniéndose una primera fase líquida Li consistente principalmente en C3, acetonitrilo y agua, y una segunda fase líquida I2 [sic] consistente principalmente en agua y acetonitrilo, en donde la relación en peso de acetonitrilo:agua en L2 es menor que 1; iv) separar L1 de L2.
