Abstract

The invention relates to a segment (1) of a solar collector (100) having a top side (2), a bottom side (4), a circumferential end face (6) having at least one longitudinal side (8), wherein the longitudinal side (8) forms a top edge (10) with the top side (2) and forms a bottom edge (12) with the bottom side (4), and having a core structure (20), comprising at least one core (24) made of foamed material. The segment (1) of a solar collector (100) further has a shell (22) made of one or more layers of a fiber material, wherein the shell (22) at least partially covers the top side (2), the bottom side (4), and at least the longitudinal side (8) of the circumferential end face (6), wherein at least one layer of the shell (22) extends about the top side (10) and at least one layer of the shell (22) extends about the bottom side (12), and having a reflection layer (14) disposed on the top side (2).
