Abstract

Esta invención expone análogos de vitamina D 2-metilen-(20S,25S)-1 9, 26-dinor y específicamente el 2-metilen-(20S, 25S)-19, 26-dinor-1&, 25-dihidroxivitamina D3, y los usos farmacéuticos de los mismos. Este compuesto presenta notable actividad para detener la proliferación de células indiferenciadas e inducir su diferenciación a monocitos, evidenciando así su uso como antineoplásico y en el tratamiento de enfermedades de la piel, por ejemplo, soriasis, así como padecimientos de la piel como arrugas, piel flácida, piel seca e insuficiente secreción sebásica. Este compuesto también tiene poca o nula actividad calcémica y por lo tanto, se puede usar para tratar trastornos autoinmunes en humanos, así como osteodistrofia renal. Este compuesto también se puede usar para el tratamiento o prevención de la obesidad.
