Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método y equipo para determinar (medir) el nivel/altura, h1 - hx, de una o más interfases entre dos o más fases de fluido de diferente densidad que están contenidos en un recipiente, tanque (1) o similar. La posición (el nivel) de las diferentes interfases en un tanque (1) se determina midiendo la presión y por consiguiente determinando indirectamente la densidad del fluido en el tanque sobre la altura del tanque usando una barra de medición de presión (2) equipada con sensores de presión (3) los cuales se posicionan dentro y se extienden sobre la altura del tanque (1). Para determinar las interfases, se usa un algoritmo o modelo matemático que calcula cómo la densidad y por lo tanto la presión varían sobre la altura del tanque como una función de las propiedades del fluido de los fluidos respectivos en el tanque, la interfase, sobre la base de la densidad que es la misma dentro de cada capa del fluido respectivo, que se define como un punto (nivel) respectivo en el cual la densidad cambia de una capa a la siguiente en el tanque.
