Abstract

La presente invención está dirigida a una composición para reducir los niveles de microorganismos en sistemas de agua recreativa, que comprenden: (1) una cantidad eficaz de biocida de dibromonitrilopropionamida (DBNPA); (1) opcionalmente, una cantidad eficaz de biocida de dibromonitrilopropionamida (DBNPA); (2) opcionalmente, una cantidad eficaz de biocida de un algicida seleccionado del grupo que consiste de cloruro de didecildimetilamonio (DDAC), zinc, y cobre; y (3) opcionalmente, un compuesto capaz de activación in situ para formar un agente oxidante; en donde la composición es eficaz para reducir los niveles de microorganismos en sistemas de agua recreativa. La presente invención también está dirigida a un método para controlar el crecimiento de microorganismos en sistemas de agua recreativa, que comprenden el paso de proporcionar la composición de arriba; e incorporar la composición a un sistemade agua recreativo.
