Abstract
La presente invención es concerniente con el uso de tocoferol como co-catalizador en la polimerización de apertura de anillo de siloxanos cíclicos. La presente invención es concerniente además con un método para la manufactura de polisiloxanos hidrofílicos, en donde un siloxano cíclico que contiene hidruro se hace reaccionar con una molécula hidrofílica que comprende un doble enlace carbono-carbono, que tiene la fórmula general (I) H2C=CH-(CHR)n-O-(CHR1CR2R3)mR4 ó (II) H2C=CH-(CHR)n-R5, en donde n es un número entero de 0 a 4, m es un número entero de 0 a 5, R, R1, R2, R3 y R4 son cada uno independientemente hidrógeno o un C1 a C6 alquilo, R5 es un hidrocarburo cíclico saturado que contiene grupo carbonilo, en presencia de un primer catalizador para obtener un monómero y polimerizar el monómero en presencia de un segundo catalizador y tocoferol como co-catalizador.
