Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la producción de ácido sulfúrico, en el que en una instalación de obtención de ácido sulfúrico se prepara un gas bruto que contiene SO2, el gas bruto se conduce a través de al menos un recipiente de reacción en el que tiene lugar una reacción catalítica de SO2 a SO3 y el SO3 así formado se hace reaccionar para dar ácido sulfúrico. Según la invención, la emisión de SO2 de al menos una corriente parcial de la corriente de gas que sale de la instalación de obtención de ácido sulfúrico se hidrogena con un gas rico en H2 en una etapa de tratamiento posterior. La corriente de gas que contiene H2S formada por la hidrogenación se alimenta al lavador de gases para H2S de una instalación de gas de coquería o de una instalación petroquímica. También es objeto de la invención una instalación para la realización del procedimiento.
