Abstract

La invención aporta un proceso mejorado para fabricar 2-cloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropano (HCFC-244bb) mediante la reacción de 2-cloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropeno (HCFO-1233xf) con fluoruro de hidrógeno, en una reacción en fase líquida en presencia de cloruro de hidrógeno y un catalizador de fluoración en fase líquida. El cloruro de hidrógeno se adiciona en la reacción desde una fuente externa a una presión de aproximadamente 100 psig o más. El HCFC-244bb es un producto intermedio en la producción de 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropeno-1 (HFO-l234yf).
