Abstract
Se ofrecen procesos para la producción de dióxido de titanio partiendo de ilmenita. En estos procesos, la ilmenita ser metaboliza con oxalato de amonio hidrogénico acuoso. El hierro de los precipitados de ilmenita es un oxalato de hierro hidratado y se retira filtrando, dejando una solución rica en titanio. La solución rica en titanio puede procesarse aún más para formar dióxido de titanio.
